My jewelry education is primarily self-taught. After receiving a degree in French from the University of Illinois, which included studies at the Sorbonne and in Italy, I landed in New York City. A casual class in metalsmithing sparked a hidden interest in jewelry making and design. My creative instincts flourished and I continued with various workshops. Soon, a business was born. I have always tried to create affordable, well-crafted and well-designed jewelry that appeals to all ages. My customers appreciate the timeless and classic looks that can be worn for years to come. My inspiration is derived from my early math and science background. I was fascinated with lines and curves, and in particular with the Moebius shape. The geometric, abstract and contemporary shapes of jewelry are designed to flatter the wearer while being lightweight and easy to wear. My goal is to have customers wear a piece of jewelry that complements their own style and personality. The clean, contemporary lines of my jewelry speaks to my belief in the “less is more” philosophy. The utter simplicity of the process allows the designs to shine. Sterling and gold filled wire, formed with simple hand tools and few if any jigs, stand alone as wearable sculptures or accents on matte finish brass cuffs and shapes.
