After I finished my degree at SUNY Brockport in Fine Arts Metals/Jewelry, I went on a job interview. The company was looking for a screen printer and I had a little bit of experience with that so I applied. When I arrived for the interview I was promptly told that the position was already filled. I turned to leave and they stopped me at the door and asked if I had any interest in learning how to blow glass.Since then, I have worked professionally as a scientific glassblower by day and spent evenings and weekends creating art. I live and work in Western NY and cannot remember a time when I wasn’t making something - creating art is my addiction. My glass creations draw inspiration from nature, motherhood and family and science.
