PLAINS, NY, April 18, 2018 - American
Handcrafted™ Orlando makes its debut September 6 - 8, 2018 at the
Orange County Convention Center. The event features select North American
artists highlighting a full range of media, with both new and established
makers represented. The Orlando launch draws on the reputation and success of
the former ACRE™ family of events, now rebranded as American Handcrafted.
“Handmade is an increasingly important factor in consumer purchase decisions,” said Allison Garafalo, Show Director. “We are excited to bring this event to Orlando — with opportunities for makers and buyers to connect in the perfect timeframe for holiday season orders.”
Makers represent the highest quality of craftsmanship across all handcrafted media including accessories; candles; craft food; garden/outdoor; home décor; jewelry; one-of-a-kind gifts; personal care; sculpture; stationery; tabletop; toys/puzzles; wearables; and more. Examples of materials represented are 2-D art; ceramics/clay; fiber; glass; leather; lotions/salts/scrubs; metals; mixed-media; natural materials; paper; recycled/upcycled; wax; and wood.
Representatives of art & fine art galleries, museums, modern gift and home stores, independent retailers, art institutions, mail order catalogs, resort shops, airport gift shops, and boutiques are expected to attend. The event will also feature seminars, and networking opportunities — all in an innovative environment for makers and buyers. American Handcrafted Orlando will be co-located with Surf Expo, a resource for east coast resorts, providing a wider range of products for the handmade buyer. Registration is open.
